I think i met you when we were runnin at World Finals 2009
Do you really think you could tune to be competitive in the 10s
That would be a hoot, and i am pretty sure it has never been done before
If the NJBA would have had a PWC class all of my runs would have been new records.

The standing record is 84 mph @ 11:80. I would have had the speed record @87.9 mph and the low et record @11:039.

I was just out in the skunk works garage changing ride plates and adding Lift. There is no dought in my mind that this ski can and will run in the mid 10s. I had the ski planted. Just like you guys the more hull we get out of the water the faster we go. We "tune" our ride plates and trim tabs. Ride plate angle on the ski this past weekend was a .750. The next race we will be at 1.000. That is a ton of lift. Problem is the ski can get squirly with to much lift and or overstuff the pump and pitch the rider. I have been there done that and it hurts really bad above 60 mph. I want the speeds but we are taking one step at a time.

There is a guy back east that ran a prop out the back of the ski instead of using the pump. His ski developed about 200 horsepower and he was well into the 100 mph range. If you couple 350 horsepower to that set up what would it run? I have know idea and never plan on finding out.

Sorry for the long winded post. I think now that the barrier is some what broken why not let the wife unit or the teenage child come race on a jet ski. Its cheap, safe(stock craft) and would allow the entire family to participate.

Here is my semi final where the drag boat had to chop the throttle at the 1000 foot marker and still broke out. That boat was FAST!
