I would suggest calling Lance Patton at Competition Carbs. You won't regret it. 678 984 0106.

71 hallet, I would run a pair of 750 holley carbs with blocked power valves,(blower motors dont create vacuum) and 74 jets. and I will be in touch about the parts by the 9th. M

My play boat at the time was a 19 ft southwind tunnel dragster and thanks to the AZ. water patrol was clocked and sighted for 117 MPH on the parker strip. Thats a ticket I will never forget. That also was a iron head,large-port open chamber motor with a solid roller set-up and a pair of 830cfm carbs. Oh I forgot this part 13% overdrive, Not o-ringed and never lifted a head or hurt the motor. I would pull the valve covers to check the valve adjustment just to play and thanks to a Moroso stud girdle and Crane roller rockers wasted my time. At 13% over I figured that motor with a 420 lbs hull and VERY built pump at 1200 h/p and a radar gun. THEN I GREW UP!!!!!! M
Thanks ol guy sounds like your boat
runs very well to get that kinda speed out of it. very impressive.
    thanks for the info Bob.

I am going 10 under so I can keep the intake temps down but have some very well worked heads to make up for it. Not using the zl1 heads anymore going with a set of ls6 heads I have. I would like to get boost ref carbs. I have seen to many nightmares when not using the right carb for the job.

With the T-handle you have, you can release the handle (let the bow come up) but you cant pull it back to get the bow down.

Paul, did you get my E-mail about the heads I have??

    Be good, Jim
Good thing you said that Jim, never even thought of it. What kind of pedal should I buy and what else will I need that you could think of? As for the heads I had a set of zl1 heads on the shelf, going to check them over this week and let you know. Thanks Paul

I'm running 750 Dominators on my 468. Cool thing about the 750 doms is that I can change the boosters and turn them into 1050's if I ever need to go bigger.

I just built a blown 472 thats alittle hopped up and im gonna run Holley 750's ive talked to quite a few people and unless its huge cubic inches and a ton of boost anything more is overkill 1500 cfm will support alot.
