Are you going to be changing your screen name from Uncle Dave to "coke bottles" ? All kidding aside, I am right there with you but just don't want to see the eye doctor and admit it. I could not see a damn thing on the last eye chart I tried to read (on my own) while I was in the doctors office for something else.

I know what you mean. I'll be 43 in August and I need to get my ees checked. Ihave always had great vision but lately things are a little tough to see. Maybe it's all the beers I will say one thing, since I've turned 40 I've seen the doctor more than I saw him in the previous 20 years. Forty def is the begining.

Cataracts are far worse then just needing glasses.

had surgery, on one eye, Jan 3rd, before that I was LEAGLY BLIND. Boating was all but impossible last year.
Also drove 30k+ miles in 2010, had sunglasses on at night just to drive.

    Turned 41 in Jan

At least I can still see.

The grey hairs are arriving with a vengeance and at an alarming rate. The others have just left altogether.

I still have my hair.. Just not on my head anymore. It appears to have moved south and is now a nice insulating layer covering everything below my neck

Eyes shot, hair gone,... Thank god #3 is still working as designed

I almost thought it was time for glasses just two days ago. Was in some meetings with Powerpoint presentations. I could barely read the crap up there. Never had issues like that before. Then at the next days meeting everything was clear again.
I realized then I was half(more like 3/4) asleep like 85% of the other people on day one

    bifocals... hell, just a rookie.

    next, it'll be tri-focals.

and when ya get tired of that, or pukin 5 or 6 times a day is too much for ya, there's lasik so you can go to just readers.

and several years after that, the lasik isn't doing what it did before, so you go back to bi-focals, and it starts all over again.

then, just when ya think you have it dialed, the glaucoma kicks in. they got laser surgery for that too, with a 90% success rate.

of course, you fall into the 10%. so you get to use 2 different drops twice a day for the rest of your life. it's all good, 'cuz you can still see.

and they got stuff for #2 and 3 too...
