    LP gas

I would try the propane before I put some brand X fuel in my motor. Fuel is the cheapest thing I buy for my boat!!!

I don't have a clue about that Josh but my 388 and 468 was 13:1 compression and I mostly ran AV in it, never had any issues. Only thing it would do was leave a white residue behind but never seemed to bother anything. AV gas has glycol or something similar to keep it from freezing at high altitude.. Alot of guys around here run it and seem to like it.

Again, b/c I'm not a mad scientist I may sound like a dumbass repeating this, but I was told that the octane changes in realtion to height above sea level. With that said I was told that 100LL was actually like 104-105 down on the ground or however close we are to sea level here.

I took it apart once to change the cam, and upgrade the springs and valves, and Kuntz said the motor looked great. I broke a lifter at Wheatland and went thru the whole motor to put it in the new boat, and he said that it prolly would have been fine for quite a while if left alone aside from routine maintenance.

Best place Ive found to check local prices is airnav.com they are a good resource for checking prices. They vary as much a $2 a gallon depending on the airport

    c12

Maybe VP110 and no spray but better safe than SORRY C12 on spray for sure. We cheat a little with aluminum heads and cool water to start with. I run C12 with 14:1 @ $465 a drum it stings next summer I'll be 10.7:1 on pump gas and new cam.

Grady, Mine is 13:1, maybe a tad over. I would think avgas is on the edge, c12 about perfect, anything else a little over kill for my motor or needs. dont have it plumbed yet, but the nos will pull from the driver side tank, i dont want to clutter up everything with another small gas tank.
