Thats too much cam for your compression/rpm. Go with something like [email protected] /525-545 lift/110 lobe. You will be happy

Their cams are actually very reasonable priced, about the same as Comp. He told me to get a 850 DP Holley for the engine too. I pretty much have a full rebuild to do, so I will have to budget wisely.

A site comes up "http://www.erson-cams.com/", but, when trying to view it, the below shows up:
HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden
Next reference I get is a 1999 Mr Gasket catologue, which also errors.
Other dead ends on the 'net too.
I think they are gone.
Call george striegel @ clay smith
Time for new pistons......Forged
Koyota93, I have a XM278H kit that's new but missing the retainers,
locks & valve seals. It's on ebay. I went w/ a roller cam etc. Let me
know if you're interested.

You the god steel, THE engine god among mere mortals. We are blessed by your presence.
Thank you for noting my lowly presence here, I now am blessed as well, all warm and fuzzy inside.
I can sleep soundly tonight now.
Come drive it Steel, the keys'll be on Table Rock all next weekend, Thurs thru Monday. Campbell Point campground, a few miles from Shell Knob.
At least you got one thing right.
First performance engine I built since High School 24 years ago, and it runs, exactly as described, and on a budget you can't imagine.
What's it like to have YOUR unlimited engine building funds Steel? Hmmmm?
KOYOTA, if the boat had an Erson sticker on it then you should definatly run an Erson cam. Its a no brainer.

I mean, you've described above an engine that a 16 yr old might build as his first "performance" rebuild, and you make it sound like some magic legendary high performance miracle, and you're the Creator behind all it's glorious success. All whopping, earth shattering, -so you say- 500hp.
