you can take Pro Comps, port them, assemble them with good hardware and they will be fine, with exceptions of course, but for a mild motor they work.
X2 i bought a bare set, had a good machine shop hone the guides, checks and cut the seats and ferrea ss valves i got for em, used comp springs/retainers/locks, dart adjustable guideplates and long arp studs and never had a issue and hit that 13 to 1 505 with a 2stage for total of 500hp shot at times.alter ego still runnin that same engine in his mew gwing after a freshen up.motor was built back in 2007 been raced by me alot on alot of nitrous and josh had it on a track alot since he has had it.for the amount of nitrous that engine has consumed over the yrs the heads have never been an issue as far as i know.bottom of the barrel alum heads sure but lighter and better than stock iron 990's anyday.

no argument there, i cant say i would never buy a set, but i would NEVER even consider them on a high HP or quality mill, if i was budget building some BS for messing around...maybe

I'd rather kick a rod at 7500 than loose an valve head at 7500 anyday.

I am kind of surprised that most of it didn't just fly out the exhaust right off. A exhaust head is a little different. There is no way out of the engine.
Sure would like to see the related head. also the side of the pistons. Kinda looks like some ring material mixed in?
