I lost everything in a tragic canoeing mishap.

All I have left is my original model 70 300 WM.

Inherited it from my Dad 3 years ago. (RIP).

Same gun he tought me shoot way back in 1971.
    Same Leopould scope.
Bastard use to make me shoot 220 grain rounds (at 11 years old) to "get the feel of the recoil".
My buddy's 338 weatherby was more forgiving!
Yeah, you got the feel of it alright!!
But if I wanted to go moose hunting with them I had to do it.
He wouldn't let me shoot smaller, said it wasn't right to "plink" the Moose with my .270

wait a minute, the .308 is a sweet round, the 06 is an inbetween underachiever. If you have to choose...300WM, 308, 6.5/284, 6.5/WSM.

I spoke with bob the other day he said he got a good deal from you.

ol ' bill and his brother bob are some bad mo fo's ! they just might save this country yet ! something about 30.06 AP that just sends the message correctly ! i wonder what bob thinks of it ?comparing bills .223 (5.56) to bobs .06 is laughable , AT BEST !

I'm with you. I sold mine to some guy named Bill.... Tangent:

1979 I was living with my Big Mama (grandmother) and going to trade school. While meddling around in my Grandfather's shop (was a plumber passed away in '68) I found a WWII surplus case of .30 cal in clips in bandoliers for the M1 carbine he had. I had an old Bronco, and we'd ride out in the country and shoot it. Railroad trestle across a drainage canal about 60' up. You could wear a turtle, carp, etc OUT!!! I didn't shoot them all, and would still have them if Bill didn't come along.
