came across this old post. Is the merc 600 2mph faster? Why? HP is HP.

Ilmor revs higher and is lighter so maybe balance is off and prop is spinning too fast???

You're boss must also own one bad ass MTI too then?

    That is an awesome boat.

Also, have any of the Conquest owners here seen the sticky looking for one for the mag's deckboat shootout?

BTW I was going to suggest that you ask for opinions on every boat other than the TCII so you would have someone chime in on how much they love their TCII... Kinda reverse psychology n shiat.....

AFTERSHOCK, you will own the lake, Seriously, you can run everyone else off of it...

I don't think you can go wrong with a Conquest , Great boat

The difference to me was the Eliminator Fundeck had more freeboard up front allowing more back support for front riding passengers. I wonder why most of the Conquest demo's are in a boat with a v-10???? The 525 seems to be a perfect match....
The Conquest, Eliminator and Magic all pretty much share the same hull. It is a splash of a Talon bottom. Now each manufacturer has done ther own take on that bottom. In 06 Conquest added a step and made a few other performance changes to the hull. I'm certain that the new eliminators hull is slightly different than their old fundeck hull. ...but still basically a Talon hull....Why....because they work!

Don't count the Howard out on price alone. As I said, I know there are two in stock just waiting for rigging. Give Gene a call at 661-257-9275...You just might be surprised...I'd say to let him know I told you to call him but he may quote you a higher price...
