Broke a rocker arm stud, thats why the lash cap fell off, got lucky, drained all the oil, I have about a 7/8 drain plug hole in the bottom of my pan, stuck a magnet in and had it out in less than an hour...................... I was ready to tear on it until I found it............... I put all Manley longer hardened studs in it.............. Going to take the carbs off and put 50 cc accelerater pumps in it also............. right now it runs but I am committed to play in a 2 day golf tournament this weekend............... When I run a no wake zone then punch it I get a lean pop almost every time, almost like the blower "dries out" when you idle for a long time.............. double the accelerator shot should take care of it.............. my carbs are 750 cfm w/ 650 bowls and transfer tubes so I can run vacuum secondaries in line, they work great. The boat gets good fuel milage and I'm happy w the way it runs.......... if it gets beat it will be by someone nuttier than me and they can be king for a day, I'm o.k. w/that............... good luck and be safe!!!!!!!!!!

i ended up having to ditch the extension scott and run a standard droop wedged down 2 degrees as slowburn had suggested. the angles look cleaner and less steep this way. if you hold a straight edge off the bottom of my rideplate now, the steering pin is 3/4in above the straight edge.

The good thing is it still runs, hopefully the thing broke and I can find both halves without tearing the motor down.................
