https://youtu.be/tq47pfePaSY Gas is an issue. I can go a long ways fast, sometimes I go to far LOL. Lake Powell time is a little different than real time. I have never run the boat dry on any other lake, but have done it 3 times there.
Campgrounds around the lake if you don't mind driving we did lone rock then went to Bullfrog then took the ferry across then down through monument valley. Have good breaks. They measures the units for the ferry. Or go around through 4 corner. If you just need it simple wahweap does have camp grounds. Plus Page is there for anything. Take the Dam tour if the offer it anymore. Deal with Anderson Feed and fence in town. Just be careful on this lake. Bring extra fuel if you can . Wind will come up without notice.

We were coved up and the '80 house boat was straining the anchor lines. Except for a blown motor on an Eliminator it was one one of the best trips ever. We used the deck boat to go up Labyrinth, and Navajo Canyons. Its good to have friends that live in Page. I will much sooner than later.
https://youtu.be/Gzjl6xnJO4Q Seems to me everybody wanted rides in jet boats and cameras were clicking. I will send a free VJB shirt to anybody that can guess the HP on the pontoon beached next to my white Sleek. That weren't no whacker motor!! And Kreg, Marcee wants to adopt the boy. Wont happen, sorry

Sky Pics From Sept 2015 Lone Rock
From last august in cathedral in the desert. This pic is at the top of the waterfall/cliff there we just squeezed thru the narrow part and went around the corner and kicked back on a small sand bar.IMO its a more scenic spot in this spot when the water is lower about 15-20ft but its still a place to go for sure.
The other pic with the boat in it is in navajo canyon at the sand dune.

I found it- I knew it was up lake approx' half way on the western side- That is Reflection Canyon, near the mouth- The pic is taken from in the canyon looking towards the mouth....Basically from the NW shooting towards the SE. The water is higher in Google Earth.
Here is a little of labryinth....hopefully.lol...crap that didnt work. I will try again. https://www.facebook.com/matt.whiteh...8786675110636/
I tracked that down once but don't remember what the name is- I used that pic as my background at work off and on.
Back in 69 we went up to Oak Canyon and camped for two weeks- That lake is like the Grand Canyon, but easily accessible. We were in canyons so narrow we had people on either side holding the boat off the rocks- And we were able to visit Cathedral of the Desert which makes the rest of Powell kind of pedestrian. When we left at 9 am, the wind started to come up- by the time we were committed, the waves were over 6', and at one point we were in 12' waves- in a 16' boat- Luckily, it was NOT a bowrider, and had a solid plexi windshield and our top was up- with the back of the boat filled with camping gear....Our friend's boat was flipping over the waves so hard the prop was coming out of the water! Not big long swells, but sharp bathtub slosh waves. We pulled the plug on the boat at 6 pm in page and at 6 am it was still draining. Pay attention to weather reports and if they say "Big blow" take that seriously.
On some Dory site, a guy was there when a big rain storm came thru- water falls off of every cliff.....I wish I still had that site saved.
Hey, I found the site- C-Brats....Punch in C-brats lake Powell rain storm. The pics are gone from the site, but click on the bottom of the guys info; Tony (TBD) and it will take you to his pics- The far right one will expand into a bunch of pics- and quite honestly, there isn't a bad pic in the whole lot.
