I lost touch last time I was in Sacramento with the whole family. At that time he was running down another shop, "Carrera". As far as the side note It's well known that at the time of the sale boats were sold that never exsisted and money was never found. Oh and by the way Jim was a peramedic for the F.D. For what its worth I feel the fall of that shop was a shame. As for the D-word part, WHY??????????????? M
No problem here, just didnt want it to come across as i was bashing, Thats why i added the D word.

    It's all good.

Dominics theory was, take a bucket of water, fling it over your head and see how far it goes. Then take a bucket filled half full, do the same thing and see the results. He "ALWAYS" used that theory when he sold boats. A light bucket won't go as far as a full one because of the weight. We know its wrong, but that was Dominic, Just a salesman and nothing to do with the glass layups or the glass schedules.

As for Jim M, He was a partner that was buying the company from my grandfather and was a fireman at the time of sale down here and had "NO" say in how a boat was built and had his hand in nothing until it was moved up north. As for Dominic telling you it was a 375lbs boat could be, But i will tell you this and it's straight out of the horses mouth. My dads boat that was built "under the radar" and the ONLY boat that ever weighed 375 out of the Orange shop and That was what made the deal was that boat went with the purchase of the company. They treid to run the boat and could never get it to work right.

If your intake was done at the shop in Orange, My old man did it as he was rigging all the drag boats at the time (IE set the intake). You May very well have had Hamilton do it offsite and I wont argue that,But Hamilton never did any work out of the SW shop at all.

Now, for this last little tid bit of the last factory boat thing. Was probablly just Dominic "selling" you on a bare hull. The company was for sale in '80 and there was no other factory boats going to run in the BFJ class because my grandpa did'nt want to fork the bill for an allready proven boat and knew that he had nothing to prove to anyone about the performance. A blank hull was given to Bill Place that became Placecraft and we all know the rest from there.

Im not tring to be a dick or anything, and Im not saying what you did or didnt do with your ride, just telling you how it all went down in the end at the shop.
Sidenote, Dominic and Carl embezzled tens of thousands of dollars from the company and we will leave it at that.
