Covered for theft, wreckage, natural dissaster, if im towing or in the water and personal injury and said it was ok to run OT headers.

So if you hit any bumps in the road to get her insured let me know.

2X to that. I can just see someone's hair getting caught in that and tearing more than just a scalp off. Try Progressive.

    I had State Farm

According to the agent, there are not enough boats in the state that have claims of any kind on that type of boat

Cost about $9 a month and had injury to passenger coverage too

My 1973 sleek craft monteray actually has a HP rating right on the coast guard tag that lists the rest of the capacities. I was sooo confused when I saw that. First time I have seen a HP capacity on an inboard boat. As far as I know the MFG does not have to put a HP capacity on inboard boats, or even on OB boats over 21 feet. I know that my dads taylor SS and cobrajet didn`t list a HP capacity, and non of the stern drive boats that I have ever been in did.

Orange peel Thats a sweet looking Haskell , ive owned one !, Re insurance I gotta a hunch no matter where ya go you might get by with the headers but the blower will likely be the deal breaker Just my OP (Ive been involved in an Ins related business since 86") IF you were in Ca ,AZ or NEV (or could other states now) you could go to www.performanceboatinsure.com Al was going to write my Schiada flat and my Blown Eliminator for a very reasonable $ Tom

Has nothing to do with any laws. Instead, it is a fact that most insurance companies avoid the risk associated with OT headers(burns and plastic surgeons are expensive) and high horsepower and uncovered engines.

If there is a "U.S. Coast Guard Capacity Information" plate inside the boat, it may list the max rated horsepower. My current boat has no such plate and my previous did, althought the HP rating was blacked out(due, I always assumed, to the fact it was an inboard and those rating were for outboards).

You might PM "Boatcop" here on the boards. This question is right up his alley.
