    Default Clear Lake Water Level

Clear Lake is currently at 5.86 Rumsey. It is just 2 feet from full. Water quality is great, six foot visable at Lakeport. No weeds on the surface. Air temp today 90 degrees at Lakeport. Many bass boats, some pleasure and hot boats out there.

Weeds have been surfacing in July each year. County has been starting a new weed harvester

program last year to fight the weeds. Algae usually surfaces just after the weeds pop up to the top. The west end of Clear Lake (by the City of Lakeport) has the best water quality. Locals know that the spring time is the best to boat on Clear Lake these days. Be sure to make it to the Boat and Car Show at Konocti Vista Casino on June 2, 2012. There will be some cool vintage pleasure and race boats there along with many hot rods.

How's the water by the end of May. Was up there a few years ago and the west end of the lake was completely full of weeds, plugged up my sea strainers, bagged pumps, etc. I'd like to take my Fountain again this year but I'm not going to be able to tolerate that again.
