    Default Trinity lake 2012

Well, it appears that I'll be up at Trinity from 15 to the 28 this month....I'm hoping a few of you will be heading up there for a few days so I can meet you....and maybe bum a few ski rides.....I was finally able to get the new windshield on the boat, so the patched pos is now history.

See you up there. You know the boat. We got out for the 4th. Lake is about 20' down and very little debris. Pic of my daughter gettin her sunset ride on the 3rd.

Saw your boat tied up Wed night when we were coming back in. Kids were hungry and wanted to get back to camp so we didn't stop. Guess you headed out on Thurs morning as we didn't see you the next day. Hope it wasn't too smokey with that fire.

I could hardly breath on Monday, then on tuesday it rained......Just like last year- Turned my carpet into a swamp....which didn't dry out for two days....Yes, it smelled just great! My tent leaked in only one spot- on my pillow!

I was able to scam 16 ski rides....and I tested my boat for mpg; Marked my fuel tank, then ran up to TC from TA marina and back at 26 mph, and refilled the tank to the mark....I got 3.8 mpg, which is pretty good- Most ski boats run 3.5 at best, most family boats(50MPH) get approx 4.5-5, and the small LP 4cyl I/Os get 7-8.....Would really enjoy testing an LS V8....

I had to bug out early cause my car needs a new clutch and I decided to get it ordered so I would have it for next weekend- then got a call back saying they were actually out of them and I have to wait a couple of weeks.....Rats!

I loaded the boat Thursday morn' and just had to get the dog in the boat across a 2x6 but......had to do a flip into the mud....almost made it...The dog was muddy, my shoes are now red, and I had to throw away my socks
