    Default Lakes North of Truckee?

Is there anyone who lives north of truckee or visits up that way? Just wanting to know if there are any lakes that are Hot Boat friendly?

Actually yea theres three just north of Truckee off hwy 80 Prosser, Boca and Stampede.

Stampede is the largest of the 3 with a launch, Prosser has a launch also, but Boca is a beach launch only.

High country (above 5500' elev) and out of the way!!!! So yea probably more for ice skating this time of year

Wrong time of the year, of course. Lol. I have been checking the area with google earth this evening. We soon wont be living in Lake County (born and raised in Lakeport). No more boat ramp next to our place on Clear Lake. Big change to go from 1340 feet of elevation to the new home at 5000 feet just north of Truckee. Price was good, so we jumped. Thanks for the info ptc.

Not sure how far North of Truckee you willing to go but Lake Almanor is a good boating lake. 4200', close to Chester Calif.

We are in between Truckee and Lake Almanor now. Will check it out when the heat comes. We also see Frenchman Lake as a possible. Looks like Lake Davis is off limits for Hot Boats.
