Default Where to go this weekend??

Whats up guys. The Lady and I are looking for a cool new place to check out this weekend or in the near future. Were from the Monterey area and frequent Lake San Antonio and Naci. San Antonio is damn near dry and Naci is catching alot of the overflow, making the wake even worse for us jets and flatties. Its about a 2 hour trip for us with the rig and boat loaded.. Were not opposed to a 3-4 hour trip if we can find good water with cool people and not too many Leos.. CFW is def. on our list, just havent pulled the trigger on going up there yet... How are off weekends like this one?? Getting ready to load everything up here in the next few hours to leave tonight or in the morning early. Thanks for the advise in advance and on a short notice.

Boat is a '73 Wriedt Stinger. 402 bbc, OT headers plumbed, single 850dp . Nothing special on the motor, w a bow tank. Jet is worked basically all the way minus an inducer.

I know a lot of guys go to modesto reservoir. CFW is great. Watch the boards and see when people are headed out. I have a buddy in the Monterey area that has a Willis jet hydro and is looking for a drag hydro. I will ask him where he goes.

Modesto Res is cool.. There is a few lakes in that area too, Don Pedro, Melones, Hogan, Camanche, etc but can get pretty choppy at all of them.
A few were out at Lake Camanche this weekend, but you should definitely check out CFW one of these weekends. (the cove, south shore)

Thanks for those of you that chimed in.. We stuck to our guns and went todown to our local Mud Hole... San Antonio. N Shore was a joke, we paid and then turned around and went to S shore which was alot better. There was one white and blue Sanger Flat pullin tubes around and thats all I seen, besides my jet and my buddies '72 Sanger Gullwing.... I think it must be time to expand our Horizons..
    CFW is callin my name..

So are you telling me to stay away from CFW?? Def not a fan of meth...hahah. I know Shasta is BadAss, just a little far for me. That would have to be a two weeker with a house boat..
Pedro is on our list for sures too. They get booked up weeks in advance tho, I found that out last weekend.

    Default ahh

I misunderstood you there. I know what your talking about now, all of our lakes down here are the same way on big weekends.. Thats when you bust out the pontoon and leave the squirt boat at home.
Ill keep my eyes on the boards to see if any ones going out. Is the "Nor Cal" section the best place to look for people posting outings??
    Thanks again guys.
