Yea I think the H1s are out of it in SAC area for good. The state totally blew that deal again as they did 42 years ago. But thats typical CAL politics when money is involved.

Same thing will happen here.... and CFW will be left in a BIG WAKE nightmare (hopefully not) but I think when all the big $$ promoters get involved and their insurance companies, then all it does is make rules that we dont need to be restrained by and it ruins what is already a good thing that works well in itself. I just think its crazy to believe that CFW can handle 30K people over a weekend event.

Good luck to you guys (Promoters) but I think many were all hoping for a NEW VENUE.....

Just to clarify a few items before the rumor mill runs amuck.

    1. The H1's are just too damn expensive to host, their returning had nothing to do with the gov't or the CA parks dept. Our BWW 2013 fan exit polling single biggest comment / suggestion was to bring back drag boat racing to Nor Cal.
    2. CFW could not handle 30K with its current infrastructure and even with proposed modifications to the facility for BWW 2014, the number is closer to the 15 -18K range for the entire weekend, which will create a positive experience for both the fan / competitor and successful outcome for the promoter.
    3. The rules and restrictions for CFW & BWW 2014 will be placed for the safety and security of all event attendee's - nothing out of the ordinary, which brings me to my last point...
    4. We are seasoned and experienced promoters and took over three years of exhausting effort to execute BWW 2013. As many of you already know there are many reasons a sanctioned, organized event like the Red Bluff Nationals has not been replicated in Nor Cal (main single reason is a qualifying venue or lack thereof). We did our homework and due diligence resulting in what is deemed a favorable venue and format. What we ask now is for the drag racing / boating community to get on board and support the "Roar at the Shore" or at the very least give us a chance.

Your constructive input is always welcomed and encouraged, in return we will promise our very best effort (and pull hard on the purse strings) to bring an event this community can be proud of...

I for 1 appreciate what you are doing. I met you to pick up media credentials during the set up of BWW 2013 (I was shooting the event for Performance Boats Magazine). I thought you did a great job on the event. The only downside was the movement of the track due to the water level (which is out of your control). Everyone I spoke with enjoyed the event. I am happy to help promote & support this event in anyway I can. Thank you again for your efforts!!
