Saw that on the news this AM. Looked like a twin canopy cat. News said no bodies recovered yet. Sad news for sure.

My mom does volunteer work for Folsom PD and from what she told me yesterday, the word around the campfire is that they hit a submerged object/island and the boat capsized. Boat has been recovered but still no bodies from what Ive heard. I have a feeling that there was that nasty combo of speed, alcohol, and inexperience.

Its all speculation at this point,i have known Toby from boating for 15 years and he has always had a big fast boat without an incident up to this point.I dont ever remember seeing him drink and boat.He knows the lake and has been a regular there for a long time. Please refrain from making these kind of statements,if not for the family..peace out

Toby was a very good friend of mine. I know quite a bit more on this accident then I really care to talk about but I will say the bottom of the boat, props, and drives had no damage which tells you they didn't hit anything. The alcohol comment is a joke because anyone that knew Toby knows he didn't drink at all. Please don't speculate.

My apologies guys. I was not trying to offend anyone with my comment. It is a horrible thing that happened and I would never wish it upon anyone.

One person was found yesterday morning. Search crews, family and friends are out looking for others today.

Default Boat wrecks on the lake bed of Folsom

Hello folks. this is unrelated to the Strauch accident, but I thot some of you might know about an historic Folsom Lake accident near 5% involving a red, white and blue Miller speedboat named "LeBoat". As you can imagine, all sorts of stuff is emerging out there with the water so low. Hey, if you know about this wreck, could you please pass along some info? I would like whoever needs to know that what's left of the rear of the boat (about half of it, no motor or fittings) is down at the water line right now (level 354ft). Thanks much. Mark C
