How close are you looking for? The delta is the best place to run any boat.

Unfortunately, you are pretty out of luck. I live in San Jose, and can't run anywhere closer than the delta. San Luis is an option, but the delta is just as close with a lot more water and no wind.

    Default Lakes near San Jose

There are three lakes south of San Jose. Callero, Anderson and coyote reservoirs. None of them like over the transom exhaust..........the last time we took a jet to Anderson the ranger met us at the launch ramp as we were putting the bilge plug in the boat. He said you can't run that boat here because it's too loud. We never even fired the boat and got kicked out. If your boat is loud or has no mufflers Modesto reservoir would be your spot. They don't even mind blown alcohol with zoomies.......

I did get a ticket on the delta for no mufflers so make sure you have them installed for the delta.

    Good luck....
