I have a cabin in Silverthorne and would say Jones Valley Marina as well. I like the east side of the lake much better to get away from the crowds and get some nicer water up the Squaw and Pit arms of the lake. Just my .02 cents
Shasta is looking better. Cousins live 6 miles as the crow fly's. Off 299 east. Jones valley has nice house boats . If you rent any, make sure its 100 % ready .We got one and the holding tank for the bathroom was full. And not good ! but did resolve that was at Bride Bay. Been on this lake a lot, and the cavern is a must
see. One year long ago off the PITT with the houseboat, a treetop was cut off in the water and I tied the steven's around it and the end of day and the start was a swim. GREAT TIMES....
We rented out of Bridge Bay two summers ago and they were decent. I don't remember how much we paid and we did look at the boats out of Silverthorne but they were significantly more $$$ and we were on a pretty tight budget with the group we had. It worked out great, just make SURE you have the houseboat tied down really well. Extra lines on each side just in case, especially if you will have boats side tied to the houseboat. Have fun
We rented from bridge bay last year over the 4th of July weekend. We have reserved another one for the last weekend of July this year with them. They gave us the early bird to pick it up a day early for the same price. Best prices on the lake.
