Southshore entrance, Lake Tulloch is about 15 miles east of Oakdale on SR 120. To get to Poker Flat go another 10-12 miles to the Copperopolus[sp]O'Briens Ferry Rd. turnoff to the left off of 120.

Been there many, many times. Was once refused entry to Southshore resort because my boat looked too loud.....WTF does "Loud" look like, I've never seen loud before.....Anyway I digress....Lake is somewhat small and gets very congested and gets rough. Alot of 5 mph zones as there are alot of hi-buck homes on the lake and every homeowner enforces his own 5 mph zone. All of the Copper Cove finger is 5 mph unless you have a home there, the very same idiot that yelled at me for going over 5mph was pulling water skiiers at the time.:|err Not a great lake for hotboats unless you just want to putt around. Open exhaust will be a red flag and you most likely will have trouble at the gate. Ramp entertainment in the afternoon is second to none. Spent many happy hours sitting in the water sipping a Bud next to the ramp watching ramp stories in the making.:D

Been to Tulloch many times. Yes, 45 mph speed limit. Gets crazy busy because the lake is so small. My buddy has a house on the lake and they have a descent bar at the motel. Really that is the only reasons to go with so many other great lake nearby. We have a houseboat on Don Pedro. Might be a better option as long as you don't need a lodging. They do have good campgrounds No speed limit and much more tolerant to noise so far.

We are leaving for the lake at noon. We are launching out of Blue Oaks a smaller ramp down the street from the big Fleming Meadowns marina. We monitor chanel 72 on the marine radio. Our houseboat is named "Equity at its Best" Give me a call and I will buy you a frosty beverage. We will be parked with 10-20 other housboats in a cove directly across from the Houseboat marina at Fleming. The marina is putting on a BBQ.
