Default water level at Don Pedro

How's the water level at Don Pedro this year?

Thinking of making my first trip up, but it's a long drive and just wanted to check first.

And does anyone have a nearby hotel suggestion? (the wife doesn't do camping anymore...)

    Thanks...

    The sounds pretty good!

Does that mean you can get into most of the side coves etc? Is boating limited in any way at this level?

    Thanks again.

You can get into all the coves and the only limitations are that some of the short cuts like from mud hole to 49er is not quite open yet. But it is still coming up about 6-9 inches a day.

As far as hotels the closest would be Oakdale but I would check vrbo.com maybe you can find a house there.
If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

When are you planning on coming up? We are there almost every weekend on a houseboat like Mike. For reference there is a nice group coming up to camp on the weekend of 8/14. The water should be nice and warm and it is a good group with some decent equipment. Check out the thread in clubs and groups under the Delta Lunch Bunch. Fun people with fast boats.

Planning on heading up in the next couple of weeks. If we like it I'm sure we'll come up another time or two this summer.

What do you guys think of Melones and McClure by comparison? Quieter lakes?
