    Default Lake Shasta

Anyone been to shasta in the last week? Heading up there last week of the month and wondering how low the lake is. Getting a houseboat out of Jones Valley.

Was out last weekend and it was great. You should have a great time, water is awsome with no debris and about 20' higher than last year.

WOW! Really! That is great. The last time I was at Shasta was two years ago for the Cat Attack and that was in June.

Was out 2 weeks ago at Jones Valley.
Still launching from the paved ramp, but just barely. Cove is getting lower, but still WAY better than last year.
Jones Valley marina was still up on the main shore, but may be floating by now.

We just got back from shasta last night after a week out on the lake, Man what a blast. It was my first time there. We had a house boat from Antlers and they seemd to have the cheapest gas on the lake at $3.99 for reg. I made the mistake of fueling up at sugar loaf marina and after hitting $150 and not even full tanks, I said screw that chit and we checked out the other marina's and they we either the same or higher so we started shuffling fuel from the shell station.

All in all it was a great time for the 16 of us only mishap's were my dist module going out the first morning there and a big thanks again to the dude at Antlers for having a volt meter. And the guy at the auto
parts store Kragens?? for going over to another one of there stores to get the module for me. And then My Brother inlaw blew out a axel bearing hub on his boat trailer, That could have been ugly going down the freeway.

So whats up with 55mph when towing a trailer???....that sucks.

some quick videos of my phone......more to come
