    Default KFOG KaBoom

Any one hittin' the Bay this Saturday night for the KFOG KaBoom fireworks show?

We booked a room at the Waterfront hotel in Jack London Square and reserved a slip for Saturday night. We plan on crusing to Sam's in Tiburon for Mother's Day brunch Sunday morning.

KABOOM ROCKS, Wonderful Event. Gotta be one the the better fireworks show in nor-cal and timed to KGOG music-COOL.

Suggestion; If your taking your boat out (awesome show on the water) you may want to cover your upholstry because the burning embers from the fireworks carries when you are on the bay. Also make sure your horn works to wake-up those drifting on their boats & not paying attention causing bumper-boats.

If your driving into the city, it is usually grid lock leaving the waterfront, so enjoy the traffic out or plan to hang an extra couple hours before leaving.

pics from our last outting on the bay. Have fun.

I call it the brain tube, I've been telling her the more time she spends on it, the smarter it's going to make her.

Hi 707DOG, our boat is a mid-cabin with an open bow and we haven't had any problems yet. We do watch the weather very carefully, though.

Does anyone have a boat launch recommendation?

We usually launch at Berkeley Marina but I am looking for something a little closer to Jack London Square. It looks like Estuary Park has a public launch and is right next to Jack London Square but wasn't sure about overnight parking.

I used to launch out of Grand St. in Alameda. Small two lane ramp (handled my 29 fine), safer parking than Oakland, right on the Estuary just south of Jack London.

No problem. Should be less boat traffic on that end as well.

You're not in the plumbing business are you?

I knew a j. santos from the East Bay that was in the plumbing biz and did some work for us - thought you may have been him.

Have a good time out there.
