Default Great shot of my Parker nemesis ...

The big 1350 HP Mercury twin turbo....

I'm in his class now. This won't be easy.

Enter the "New Canoe" .... I am sworn to secrecy, so I can't elaborate.

Please note that this fine shot was taken by our good buddy and boating friend, Roger That photography. Can he catch the shot, or WHAT!!!

Do you want to race from the back with us? From the back you can run the motor up and no motor restrictions...sounds good,eh💡

The main bitch I had about this race was the fact they made the boat slower than I like to drive it.
I may not win , but the whip will be down when we are running.

    DIVISION 10: “UNLIMITED OUTBOARD”
HULL: Unrestricted. Minimum length is 18 feet. Maximum length is 22 feet. Weight is unrestricted.
    ENGINE: Unrestricted.
    DRIVE: Unrestricted.
NOTE: In an effort to maintain safety the class will be restricted to a 100mph average lap time

I understand they don't want this event to be about who spends the most $$ on setup but a boat that averaged what 65mph won? And the lap average can't exceed 100mph?? Is it really a race? I've been there to watch it a few times and had a blast and would LOVE to own a boat capable of running in this event someday. Rumours of people running wakeboard boats with perfect pass because they can set the cruise and never break out of their designated speed etc. I'm not very smart so I really don't understand all of what you can or can't do.

The race has morphed into what I call "an attempt at parity"

The "overall" winner suffers from what you described. Hence the fact I want to just come out and run my boat the way it runs best. As I said, I don't care if I win, but if you are on the course, you will know clearly who was kicking ass 👞. The race has great history, but it's more like a bunch of liberal parents giving everyone a chance at the win. Requesting to run my engine in a normal position has pushed me to the back next to the Nordic in class 10....I am out to just have fun, so I don't care where they put me. It would be a badge of honor to break out on a 100 MPH average. It would be quite a feat to average in excess of that speed on the course. John in his Yamaha 4.2 liter probably averaged around 90 mph...that is hauling ass. 100 mph is no easy task.
Question for John, do you know what your average speed was? I bet I'm close with my guess.

Come to Parker with the idea of just having fun...you will have a better time and enjoy it more. I learned that the hard way....

Handicap rules exist in division 10 also, 10 was filled with boats that couldn't compete in 9, fastest one running 8:30's. I think the gave them a lap or 2. The 10 guys wanted no part of us ad the 2.5's.

So, if you want to run wide all day, the group needs to have similar times. or convince them its "RACE"!!!!

my 25 year old college grad so calls it "OBAMA RACNG"
