I run Cutting Edge Props and am extremely happy! Greg knows his stuff, he'll get you dialed in.

We just re powered our 22 Daytona w/ 300 xs
were into the mid 90's Hydromotive prop
We are doing some prop testing too

Bullyhead Bully had a couple 22 Daytona with I/O packages and high X setting
The 496ho ran high 80's the 525 packages ran high 90's

We put Lenco tunnel tabs on all the boats, really helped the hole shots

We saw cutting edge props at the Deseret Storm street fair
    he had some nice props
If you ain't the lead dog the view is always the same !

ok tested 2 props this weekend 5 blade 31 pitch poped right out of the hole but right at cruzing speed it sliped and almost sounded like it shifted gears it was weard from 50 to 85 it pulled so hard it was like a turbo motor i had plenty of peddle left but i hit the porpusing again at 75 the motor was still spinning over 6 gs, tried a 4 blade 31 pitch and the boat was all over the place started swaping out out 80 didnt fell good at all i spoke to a guy out at the river this weekend with a 33 daytona he seems to think i need 34 or 36 pitch to bring the rpm down the 4 blade was in to the 6 g range as well

Maybe have a try off some bigger gears ?
Cause the boat could be walking on the prop

what kind of power do you have in it? what drive an gears. I am more curious then able to give advice.

My 22 at 5000 with a 26 will hit 80. fastest was 84 but i had a little current helping me. i heard the tunnel tabs help a great deal for the purpose issue as well as out of the hole as big steve said. i just have not been able to pony up for them or the motor upgrade for that fact.

Your tach must be way off! If you had a 31 turning 6k you would be going alot faster than 80mph for sure!

My 22ft Daytona goes 84 w/ 26 bravo prop. @5200 rpm on gps. mild 502. @70 mine feels super planted in water.
You might want to have trim checked, might not be trimming up enough or too much.
    Good luck

how high did you put the drive? Sounds like you are pulling the prop out of the water with too high X dimension, or you dont have a sport master style lower?.. the older single step 22 were alittle squirly to say the least at 75 to 95 then it would get up on the sponsons and run good. when you just creep up on those speeds it feels like a rodeo bull... I ran mine 117 best and 110 every time out..
    where are the pics???

Early style nose cone with a small shaft and it looks like a hydramotive prop? Thats good it is standard length drive. what diameter is that prop, and all the props you have tested?
