    Default Great day in Winter

We did a hardcore run today from BHC to Havasu City in 35 Min. Total with the Gorge no wake zone , boy those Mudhens are dumb they aim for you . A little cool but no one on the water made it worth it, we wore full snowsuits and gloves which made it very warm. If it would only be that quite in summer, we are making more runs like that before spring not even one PWC in 130 miles.

We took the 22 the water level wasn't bad ( but I was the only boat for 30miles down the river , anything over 1 unit is a waste anyway. ).This is trully the time for seriuos boating . It's a real treat to run triple digits for 20 minutes straight with only ducks in your way.

That sounds like a lot of fun! Triple digits for twenty minutes I would need a water tanker to fuel up on the way down.

I hate to mention it---the cost of fuel would kill me the run would cost me about $600bucks in fuel minimum one way .

I think your running outboards and you can do that---power and mizers at the pump great combination.

We did a run that was similar about 40 miles and it was awesome only one or two bass fisherman the whole way awesome boating experience.

Thanks for sharing makes me want to go out and run the boat today.

The 22 with 300xs motors gets almost 3MPG at a 100 which is better than my 22 with a 525hp would get , and a whole lot more fun .

Ok! quit bragging---but very true. I enjoy taking the boat out even if it is cold. It would be nice to get a group going and have fun with no one around so we could open it up without to much trouble.

A social tie up at the end of the run with food and non-alcoholic beverages [for drivers] is also a great idea.

Just a thought probably to difficult to get everyone on the same page.

P.S.Can I assume that nice looking boat in your avatar is yours.

Early March sounds great my schedule is packed these first two months.

Well the Delta people have a group to run with---DLB--- we do not have any clubs or groups for the boating enthusiasts in the AZ/CA waterways.

I'm talking about a club which is open to all boaters.

I'm in---I will bring the appetizers---pate, olives, cheese and deviled eggs--- if it's on a Sunday we will also have Mi mosa's for everyone--- a Casa de Kappy tradition.

    Winter boating at it's best!

    Hopeful,

Some menu!!!! Wow Kap....you are so articulate and hospitable...why would you want to cause such intestinal disorder, flatulation and the potential for squirts and/or constipation for your new-found friends??? JK

    New2cats:

All you had to say was you want to join!

Oh! wait your baby [F-29] is still being made---if it is not done we can always accommodate a few temporary castaways.

Seriously, I would really like for someone to form a great "Performance Boat" Club with members meeting for winter runs.

A club in So Cal/ AZ could be easy to form a "WINTER" boating club for example ie... Desert Polar Boaters Club or something more descriptive as a way to count those winter days off the calendar til summer arrives.

We all have places and spots in summer it's the winter boaters I want to hang with---usually nothing but bass fishermen and lotsa places to open it up without fear---plus the motors just run better with cold dense air.

    KAP

P.S. BB Your gastric descriptions are TMI--- when are you gonna be at DCB so we can have lunch at the local taco stand---I'm sure you will feel right at home.
