    Default X dimention

Well I'm ready to get started on installing the alpha drive in my Carlson cvx 16. I have the templete for the key hole and the highth for the X. I;m told that to improve the performance you cam raise the drive up a 1/2 inch at a time but not to excede 2 inches. How does one raise the drive? Plug the hole and redrill? Get the hole right (somehow) the first time? Put it in at the 2 inch higher point and then spacer it down if it's too high? I'm not looking for a ski boat, so hot shot performance is secondary.

I would install the drive having the prop shaft 3 inches below the pad bottom. worked well for my CVX 18.
