    Default X dimensions tutorial

How do you define X dimension?

    What does it do?

    What changes does it affect?

I took some measurements on my boat and it looks like on plane running, my prop is acting like a surfacing prop. Prop centerline looks to be ~ 1" below the delta pad.

I run a B1 28P and it is good on the top end, but out of the hole, little slow. I am trying a 26P 5 blade for more load in 2 weeks.

    It is a deep V/step hull/delta pad 25' Warlock world class, 496HO.

    Educate Me.

    Thanks

    Marc

X dimension is the distance from the crankshaft centerline to the bottom of the boat. What really matters is the height of the propshaft in relation to the bottom. If your prop is only 1" below the bottom, that is pretty high for a V-bottom. I would re-check that.
Level the bottom to a flat, level concrete pad. Use a digital protractor. Then trim the drive until the propshaft is perfectly level to the bottom. Then measure to the ground and subtract the difference. You can do it with a long straight edge, but this takes less hands.
