I'm new to this boat ( owned it 2 weeks n re-doing most of it now) n performance outdrive stuff but long time motorhead n have some questions before I ever even put this lil jewel in the water.
Will premise this by saying the boat is for play on the river mostly n small lakes but being a picklefork it needs to run to it's potential.
Currently has a 430-450HP 355 SBC w/broad power and 6400 RPM potential redline w/an Alpha 1 drive.
1st question: Is drive height measured at rear of hull w/anti-cav plate on lower drive?
2nd: Which plate is it? The upper (about 1.5" above) or lower (directly above prop)? Rear of hull is same height as lower plate right now.
3rd: How fast is a reasonable speed this hull and powerplant is capable of "trimmed out w/calm water"?
4th: What about those "widget" hydrofoils to get the tail up quicker on this type of hull as I will be pulling skiers occasionally?
5th: Do the "foils" hurt top speed if hull is "up" at speed n the cav plate is just out of the water.
6th: Prop suggestions? I have a 13.75/25P/3 blade Quicksilver to baseline with.
Thx in advance
