    Default motor dies rough water

I have a cat with blown 540 twin carbs, motor dies going over rough water. it starts right back up. I have checked float levels, seem to be good, fuel pressure good. no loose ignition wires. what should I check now ? It only dies when going over rough water or big wake.

Pretty much everyone here knows more than I do but I'm thinking a ground or power wire issue.

X2 on that does it only happen when the boat hits a wave like a jolt to the hull

I had a wire on the ignition switch that was loose and was doing the same thing.

    Default engine stops

Check the wires on the ignition switch, they do have a tendency to loosen up, as well as what was posted about the grounds.

Ignition box?....I've had ignition switch ghosts and MSD box issues do the same thing. When I have a problem like this that's hard to find my approach is to run a secondary lead or bypass till I pin it down.
    Good luck

what rpms do you think your at when this happens? As your bouncing over the water is the boat bogging down then dieing at lower rpms or just shutting off like you turn key off? When going over the rough water or going over big wakes are you chopping throttle to settle and slow boat down and then it dies?
