Default How much is too much?

Pulled the drain plug on my bravo1 to pull the lower and found this...
    Should I be worried?

That's a hell of a lot more than I've ever found on mine. How many hours since service, what lube, how much HP? Running a drive shower?

I presume that by now you have replaced the gears in your drive. Bravo 1's are rated up to about 600-650 HP, they do not mention torque which is the killer! After knowing that it is how you drive the boat. In rough water if the prop comes in and out of the water the unloading of torque and the sudden loading can cause problems. I have 742 ft/lbs @ 4200 RPM and snapped a Imco drive shaft in half hitting the throttle full at approx. 4000.
Who ever rebuilds the unit can look to see if it is normal wear or abnormal wear and give you recommendations. The amount of metal particles you have look to be a tow job waiting to happen!
