just saw the outside. The guy there was kinda rude when I asked him questions, like I was going to steal some secret shit from him... wouldn't give me a price, he said make an offer, but he didnt like my offer apparently.. Drive looks sweet, but also wouldn't give much info or pics of test boat other then a carrera.... Maybe he was just havin a bad day when we were there, but didnt seem very prepared.... maybe it was just me..
Stated he didnt want people stealing his ideas.. seemed kinda strange... If its that good imco will buy one and tear it apart anyways..

In a thread over on OSO some people have said it'll probably be $20-25K and that the first 50 are being built right now. I've spoken with the owner several times via email and he seems to be pretty cool as he was always very prompt with replies and answered my questions. He did also avoid my question of what kind of testing was done with this drive. Theres a lot of interest in this drive so I'm sure there will be a few boats running them in the near future.

from what i understand the guys that designed it are formula 1 car designers or some crap, I don't know if I want a drive I can't break, thats part of the fun, it would just make me build a bigger and badder motor just to see if I could break it, it would be pretty cool to be one of the first people to own it and break it.

I guess you would be part of a very select group who actually enjoys breaking drives.

That would be correct, i enjoy breaking stuff and fixing it to a better condition it was originally in, no reason to take it easy cuz your worried about breaking something, just balls out and if it breaks fix it and make it better than it originally was, thats the quickest way to learn.

i WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME INFO ON THESE ALSO. They look bad ass but they donthave a web site that I can find and there is nothing I have heard or seen of them. Is it a shiftable drive or does it require a trans in front of it??

No trans needed. It is a direct replacement that bolts to a stock gimbal from what I understand.

just bolts right on in place of bravo Don.. The guy was reluctant to give any info on drive and didnt even have any pics or vids of so called test boat.... we will see.... Also bravo props won't fit that drive, so add cost of new props...

    Question

I know a little about the drive. I spent probably a good 30 - 45 minutes talking to Bill at the LA show, and he answered every question I asked, and provided alot of good information. One of the nicest guys I met at the show point in fact.

What specific question(s) would you like answered?

if you like I can probably set up a time, and have the owner online on my board for a "Q and A" session of sorts?

I was told that Bravo props could be run with this drive, but from the lower housing it does not look like you can run anything besides cleavers. Ask him how that works?

I talked to the guy for a while too and he was very friendly and willing to share info. as I remember, he was going to go with something like the # 6 props. Was not going to work with the bravo1 props. I also gave him my business card and he promised to send out email updates on when they are built and cost and such.
