    Default Hill Marine

Does anyone have any experience with them? They are in Santa Ana. They say their products are American made. My blade on the old man boat is needing replaced and I have had a Hill prop before. Seemed to be OK. And their prices seem very fair if it is a American made prop.

    Default Thanks....

You are a great friend and customer....I've made props since 1969, many of my customers KIDs now buy props from us.

I once was told that the Japaness make motorcycles like they love them, I feel we make props because we love them!

    Simple and easy game.

Claim the hill by using a very easy, effective or funny way to get the one before you off the hill. Then claim it by yelling "My Hill" and wait for someone else to trow you off the hill.

Well I received mine the other day. Can't wait to try it out. Will be a few months. I was taching 4400 with a 21 pitch and we dropped to a 19. was wanting to get about 4800 rpm. My old 3 blade worked well but had a little vibration. My boat planes out very fast with the old one. With the new one it might cum out of the hole with no lift. If I do it right it should not be any lift left in it.

Are you using a stainless? 2 or 3 blade?

    Default Ron Hill custom...

After we lost our only "good" prop at Burley in 08, (broken shaft in Sunday's final), I talked to Ron. He took a wild guess, (yeah sure, decades of research under his belt and he guessed?) and supplied us a prop to "try"....The Pro Stock boat ran the same speeds as before, but at 800 RPM LESS!!!. Ron's comment, "Well now I know which direction to go to make it BETTER!!!!" As with most of today's prop builders, Ron is eager to work with you and always ready to help you with THE prop for YOUR needs........Not surprising, he also makes 100s of RC boat props using the same "learned" technology..........I would highly recommend working with him to get everything out of your boat's potential....As I said, same speed at 800 RPMs LESS....

Data, gotta have it. Go forward with all the info you can supply him. Speed/RPM/ as well as a "seat of the pants" evaluation of what you have now. From that baseline he'll have an idea of what you need. That is a huge difference from some shops that sell you what they have on hand, not necessarily what you need..........Ray

PS Add PS89 to the list of National Champions, (2008), running a Ron Hill prop
