Question 4 to 3 blade question

    2007 elminator 220 Eagle XP 496 mag..

Currently has a 4 blade 24 pitch prop. I was given a 3 blade 23 prop. Will the 3 blade work? or is a 4 blade better?
I would like to get a little more out of the hole.

The reason I am asking and just not tring the 3 blade is dented up and needs to be fixed.

    Thanks

3 blade is yesterdays technology , was designed to run deep in the water , your boat was probably designed to run the 4 blade ...you might want to have it labbed or blue - printed to your desired needs .

3 will probbaly get you more top speed over a 4 but a 4 will be better out of the hole and for heavier loads. You will probably want a 25 pitch for a 3 blade too the 23 will be too small

IMO many overlook 3 blades cause they all think a 4 is better for everything.Just have to try it and see how it works
