Default Lower Impeller on Bravo 1???

Hi guys! I'm brand new to boating and just picked up a 1989 eliminator edge 244 with 150 hours on it. It has a 454 with a bravo 1 drive. This boat has been inactive for 5 years and I am trying to get it ready for the summer.

Now I hooked up dog ears to the drive and supplied water. I could not get any water through the motor though. I only ran it for 60 seconds. It also has belt driven sea pump that I noticed has a leak out the side of it ( I think it is split from not being drained right). So I figured the lower impeller was bad and the sea pump as well.

Now according to sterndrives the Bravo one does NOT have a impeller in the drive. Is this true?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It has an engine driven pump similiar to a car and the belt driven pump external pump (that shouldnt be leaking at all)
    Nothing in the outdrive.

External pump is very easy to rebuild.

Where would be a good place to buy a replacement pump? They seem to run from $300 to $500.

All you need is an impeller about 30.00. At worst you will need the kit with the impeller and housing about 100.00. We can ship to you if you like.

Sounds good. Does that include all the hardware, o-rings and gaskets?

The impeller is just the impeller, the o-ring is fitted into the housing and can be re-used. The kit with the housing and impeller does come with a new o-ring.

Is that the upgrade kit with the single housing and such? I believe I need a new housing cause of the massive leak on the side of it.
