    Default Prop Question

Recently have purchased a 22' daytona, and have a lot of props from my 300 out bard, question being will a 27 pitch Hoss over the hub style prop work on bravo 1 sterndrive with out any performance issues? It has a 3 blade labbed Hydromotive 28 pitch on it now,but has some problem getting out of the hole when boat is loaded with passengers and gear. what recommendations does anyone have.
454 engine with Bravo one outdrive with 1:50 gears late 90's hull.
    Thx Don

Be careful with that Hoss. The blades are welded to the hub and may not stand up to the power/weight combo you got there. Bring a spare prop just to be sure.

Also, the Hoss is going to be more of a bow lifting prop. You'll probably want something that has more stern lift to it, to carry the weight of the engine/drive package. I'd probably say start with a 26 Bravo 1, but then again, what do I know...call the prop guy. Kevin at R&R Prop Shop. He's a board sponsor too.

He'll be able to tell you what you should be running, and may even have a used one on the wall. You can buy it, try it, and as long as you don't damage it, return it for something else if it doesn't work for you. Can't beat that deal. 702-564-7502.

I had a 21 Daytona back in the early 90's with a 454 in it. I ran a 26" Hydromotive 4 blade with good all around performance results.
