The steering in my nordic sprint is tough. Checked the cables and box and they are good. Replaced the pump which offered some improvement but it still isn't good. Steering is "sticky" and rough. Sometimes it is assisted more than other times. Tends to have more assist going right then left.

Anyway to test the cylinder before I replace it?

A little more info: If I'm forceful when I start to turn the wheel the steering loosens up. Indicates to me that control valve is having issues. But then again, when I'm prescribed pain medicine I just drink tequila so my opinion may not be sound in some regards.

Thoughts?
