What RPM did it make 720? If you can turn the 28" prop 6000 RPM I'd expect 93 - 95 MPH. 6500 RPM 100 - 103. Just a guess on the speed. Keep us posted!!

Oh and nice numbers on the 540.

If my old combo in my 25 ft cat (worn out loose 502 w/ a whipple) could
    go 96mph on gps at about 5400rpm with a labbed 32 Bravo one(also 1.50)
I would think you could break a 100 no problem with a little more prop,
but like it was said before, what rpm are you making the power at?

I have a 27' Daytona with 700HP blown 502 and I am running a labbed 32p and seeing 93mph on glass. Can't wait to try it with a little wind chop to lift the boat up a little more. I have been told I should be real close to 100mph if I can get 5400-5500 rpms out of her.

I have a Labbed 30p I am trying to unload if you want a 30p but I bet you end up with a 32p labbed since you are a smaller boat with more horsepower.

I think typically its about 18hp for every mile an hour? So maybe a 4.5mph gain?

I think the real question is at what rpm does your torque start fallin off? Thats gonna tell the true sotry as to what prop you can pull.

    Mine and buddy's boats when stock 1.5 bravo/500efi would pull a 28 bravo to 5100rpm at 82/83mph.

912 hp at 6000 in a Daytona 27 with a 1.50 drive and 34 prop does 116 in cool air, about 105 in summer heat. Going to a 1.35 drive this off season and a 32 prop to see if we can get into the 120's.
