    Default Buying first boat....

I have looked at all kinds of boats. I looked at this one the other day.
    http://modesto.craigslist.org/boa/2526354900.html
But I don't know much about boats. The guys in the Jet forum gave me some pointers on what to look for on the hull. I know my way around an engine bay. That stuff looked good.

    Is Donzi a Quality Hull??
Is this boat to big for river runs to Laughlin and such??
What should I look out for if I buy this boat??

donzi made some pretty cool boats...as far as im concerned they made some quality stuff. a friend of the family had a donzi 22 clasic and it was pretty solid, it rode nice and lasted him years and years...i dont know much about this model of donzi but i would asume the build quality is still there...as far as it making river runs it could as long as there are no shallow spots (it will sit deep in the water)...someone that runs that stretch of river would be able to tell you better than me...good luck with the purchase

Donzi is a classic boat and quality built
They are heavier than some of the other boats but like my Scarab may not be as fast with the same hp as some others but are great wave smashers and can run fairly fast with good power
That Donzi is a great looking boat and will always be a classic, if it checks out good it should be a good buy and will turn heads

I would NOT recommend that boat. Donzi builds a great boat, but the drive package in that Black Widow no longer has parts available for it (OMC King Cobra drive / Ford 460 big block gas hogs).

You won't want to try and take anything that big up to Laughlin..
I'd agree with you, but then we would both be wrong
