So I got a new boat last week, it's a Rogers Bonneville TR, the paint/clear/ gel/ who knows what is rough. The top edge is a heavy metallic rose color and I thought it was the original gel, First I sanded a spot on the side and found a different color than the top, then on the top there was a very small crack, figured I sand that and I went through the clear, then dark brown then light brown then? It looks like metal flake on black? I'm not sure what I'm looking at?? I sanded one more spot 6 inches higher and it looks more like the spot on the side. I know nothing about boat finishes.

Little more sanding, I'm pretty sure it's black with a silver flake, where it looks orange is just a thin layer of Brown over the silver making it look orange. Anyone seen a Rogers in black with flake?
