    Default Beware the Jerkiziod

I buy a t tank from this Jerkiziod guy and it shows up with a big dent in the end of the tank. The box has no damage so UPS says they didnt do it. The Jerk claims it was perfect when he shipped it. He does crappy job packing it in a thin box. I been going back and forth with this guy for 2 months and ultimatly he accepts no responcibilty. A chicken siit deal for sure. Deal with him at your own risk.

Im sure its the blue t tank your talking about.... I picked it up from FlatRat and got it to the Jerk just prior to him selling it. It was in perfect condition, no dents whatsoever. I would hit up UPS again, for sure damaged in transit.

crappy packaging or not, it happened in transit, which is the fault of UPS. Items marked Fragile don't get treated any better.

I have had alot of bad dealings with UPS! UPS people just don't care! I don't use them anymore! If the tank has a dent in it, 85 percent chance they did it! Don't let them BS you!

UPS is not kind, to Stacker Tanks, they need packing that most can't do. I've got two sets of tanks in, both got hammered. UPS will decline responibility saying it was packaged poorly. The bottom line is UPS is rough on handling packages. I have crated tanks, with good luck, never any incured damages.

I'm not going to defend nor put down anyone on this subect, but I will share what I have learned about UPS's damage policies. UPS's policy these days is that you the shipper (not the reciever) must file the claim and provide evidence that it was packed properly (for the fragility) of the contents. UPS looks for ANY out. These include: #1 re-use of a box, #2 Improperly packaged, #3 under insured. If you win your claim, UPS gives you the amount it was insured for plus a refund on the shipping and they normally want to KEEP the damaged item. I have leaned the hard way that you must EXPECT UPS employees to drop, kick, throw your package around.

Sorry about the dented tank deal. I have also received damaged goods through UPS, USPS, and others. My experience is if you file a damage claim, they will take the item and the package, decide if it was packaged adequately, and ultimately conclude the packing was inadequate. If you don't "overpack" a fragile item, it likely will be damaged in shipping. I hope something is worked out between you two. UPS isn't going to help out.

Default OK lets settle this in front of the whole community.

After months of going round and round with UPS, Tom, send the tank back to me! I will reinburse you the $300 plus another 50 for shipping. You still pay shipping one way, I will refund your purchase price and the shipping back to me! Afterall, a dented tank still holds gas and I can simply use it. So, if $350 is enough, its your turn to pack it as good as you can, I used tons of packing popcorn and any cardboard box can flex if hit hard enougn, but let this be news to everyone here, the best packing in the world may not be enough for UPS! And the claim department leaves much to be desired!!! Boyd
