    Default WTB BBC Cylnder head

Looking for a single usable core...For whatever reason it keeps trashing an intake guide.

Hate to break up a set...and spend money on parts that i thought i needed because i was to stupid to figure out what was causing the problem......Galled/stuck intake guides....3 times...same head installed on both sides of the motor.....either of the 2 center guides installed by 3 different people set up with .0008-.001 clearance....Thinking/hoping i have it figured out...been lucky so far..wrecked a couple valves..bet a few pushrods..last time it bent the valve in 3 different directions...think that was the last of my good luck..

Hows come nobody told me a crack in a cylinder can cause intake valves to bend?

How does a cracked cylinder bend an intake valve?
Then, how does that lead to wiping out a valve guide, running a bent valve up and down in a good guide?
    Not calling bs, just curious.

After bending 3 intake valves and local machine shop replaced 2 and i did one i drag the head over to Gary Kincaids shop, he replaced 2 intake guides his way...It did last way longer than before but when it went it bent intake in 4 different directions, pulled the guide half way out, broke it and ran the pieces through the motor...got lucky and hear it go sour and hit kill switch..One look, gary says it's been hot...Got to looking at the block, found a hairline crack in upper cylinder. Best guess is at higher rpm/load it was pushing gas through the crack and it went up through steam holes and accumulated in the water jackets around the 2 center intake guides...They got hot and stuck to the valve..been dealing for a while...nobody had any answers until now. So the block gets another sleeve and back together again we see if it's really fixed..lol
When i got the motor it had really...really...really loose guides ie:

Thought i was exaggerating? lol....and not only did it run that way it ran sorta ok...
