Roller 509 BBC with AFR 345 heads. I bought a 21 Shockwave three years ago with this engine so I'll tell you what I know. The engine was built by Ed Pacillo at Bad Habit Racing for the original owner who cooked a 502 in his 21 open bow. He brought it to Bad Habit and they built it to 509 with all NEW parts. Steel crank, h beam rods, forged pistons, etc.

Darrin (No Regrets) was very involved with the project so I called him to get the details. The guy spent a ton of money and all the parts were bought new at Dougan's Racing engines and they did all the machine work. The guys used the boat three times and got into a nasty divorce and she ended up with the boat. I bought it from her. I used the boat one time at the river just to check it out and it pushed a 21 open bow very quick and it felt like a low pro 18... Ran REALLY well on pump gas. As soon as I got home I removed the engine and sold the boat back east. I sold the motor to a buddy that put it in his 19' CP (19CP on the boards) and it ran for 2 or three more river trips, then it was removed again and traded back to me for a t-ram 468 deal.. Now I have it back and according to Darrin, including the time we put on it, it should be around 20 hours if not less. Here's what I have.....

Gen VI BBC, forged steel crank( std/std), H beam rods with ARP bolts, and forged pistons (believe JE). Approx 8.5-9.0 to 1. 4 bolt main, all ARP bottom end and head bolts. Brand new AFR 345 heads with C/C chambers, cometic head gaskets, hyd roller cam (I think Comp), roller rockers, Dooley 10gt jet pan. All clearances set by Bad Habit and Dougans and it was set up for 6-8 pounds of boost on pump gas. This would be a great motor to drop a blower on, or maybe run it for a nitrous deal?? When it was finished with a small blower it made around 750 on the dyno..

IF there are any questions, Darrin said he'd be happy to answer what he can. The build cost over 12k..... I dont think I will need it for the new boat so I am putting it up. Complete long block with the pan, just bolt on an intake and carb and its ready to go.

4k obo......

I have not taken the pan off but I may have to. Darrin can't remember if it was Eagle or Scat but he does remember that it is all forged steel. Parts were all new from Dougan's. I can pop the pan off if somebody needs it btu I can't get to it until this weekend. All PM's returned....

That would be a bad ass NA package.... Would handle a good shot of nitrous too..... I have a few more details on the motor. I popped the pan off and it has a forged crank and dimple 7/16 rods, not H beam like I thought. It is a 4 bolt main and the pistons are JE part number 257956 which is lazer etched in the pin boss. The whole package looks brand new......

I show that the pistons are a 4.530 bore which I calculated to be 515 ci, not 509.... I thought it was .020 over but it looks like ,030.. Everything looks super clean........

Come get it!!!!
