    Default WTB old fuel fills

I need a fuel fill to match this one. Or two matching fuel fills that have a screw on cap and are mid-late 60's vintage.
This one was made by Perko.
    Anybody?

Here ya go.. these are in great condition. I too like the nostalgic appeal of this style of filler. I was going to re-use them when I restored that boat but if it will help you out I could let them go. I would accept $100.00 for the pair plus the ride from 91765. Here's a couple pics for your viewing pleasure. Let me know if you want them and I can pm you my contact info.

    Thanks,

    Warren

Dang rcl you made me go get a magnifying glass to take a closer look lol. Yes it appears there is some small pitting. With the suns reflection off the chrome it appeared as small bumps under the chrome, some have opened slightly to the surface. None of the chrome is pealing, flaking or missing. There is some slight corrosion on the lower neck where the hose attaches but the material integrity is very good. These have been on my shelf for about the last 17 years and off the boat and out of the elements for at least 3-5 years prior to that. I think one would be hard pressed to find some in better original condition for their age. Thanks for asking.

Warren, I am concerned a little about the pitting on the caps. Hard to tell from the pics. Not sure if they could be re plated.....maybe some kind of pot metal?
one cap looks better than the other maybe? I know.......I'm a little picky....

Retired Racer, I too am rather picky and appreciate your concerns. I never gave these much attention until this discussion as I never really scrutinized them because they shine nicely for an original part, I wasn't installing them soon and they weren't obviously junk. Based on the weight as compared to a bronze flip top I have loose I think they are chromed alum. Your correct in that one is better than the other. The better one has 2 dots on it. One dot is raised and the other is slightly open. The other cap has more as you can see, some slightly open and most others not. There is a part # of 1425 on the underside of the cap if that would help you to discern the mfg. and specs. If you are looking for a perfect 53 yr. old part then obviously these aren't them. I can run them by Billy's shop late next week and let him check them out and weigh in if you would like. I can also take them by a local plating shop here and see what they say as regards to re-plating. I hope this helps.
