Default CNC Machine Shop--->we will make your custom parts for your off season boat upgrade!

    Hey guys,

I own a small Automotive Repair and CNC Machine Shop in Tucson, AZ and its a pretty multifaceted little operation. We offer Automotive Repair, complete Auto and Marine Engine Builds along with boat builds and Custom CNC'd Parts. We have started making some custom parts for various applications including Jet/V-drive/Outdrive Boats and I wanted to offer up these services to the Performance Boat Forum Members. Some of the equipment we have: 4-Axis HAAS CNC Mill, Bridgeport CNC Lathe, Tig and Mig Welders, etc. I am an aerospace and mechanical engineer, so I can take your parts from a "Napkin grade" sketch to prototype hardware in a relatively short period of time, even do it over the phone if necessary. Our master machinist has 23 years of experience and we also have two master automotive technicians to round out a great team.

We can CUSTOM BUILD any piece of hardware for your boat (OR ANY OTHER need you might have along those lines, business needs as well) including a new swim step, puke tank, rail kit, inter-cooler (we are currently designing one in house), Seat mounts, bracketry, 3-D Profiled pieces that can only be done by a good CNC Machine, etc. We can build it out of the desired material, finish it (anodize, powdercoat, paint, etc.) however you like, and even do installation if you're nearby. I have had several people ask for custom CNC'd hardware for their boat, and I thought there are probably plenty of others out there who would be interested in that if it was made easy for them at a Fair Price.

We haven't been doing as much custom fabrication work specifically for boats lately or outside of the jobs that come in for other industries as much as I'd like, so I have been REALLY looking forward to the "silver lining" of the off-season....which is having fun cutting some chips for some cool boat parts that were custom designed/thought up by the owner and drawn out to his requirements. Feel free to message me on the forum, email me, or shoot me a call at (520) 2two7-46fourone.

I also have a few BBC Engines (as well as a 10:1 SBC and two Ford 351C's) available as well (BOTH short and tall deck, 4.00" and 4.25" stroke) the 468 cu. in. build is $4350 and they go on up from there. This one has the following: ICON Forged Pistons ~9.7:1 Static CR w/119cc head, Forged steel Crank, bushed I-beam rods w/ARP Bolts, Clevite 77HP Bearings, Ported Large oval port 119cc head with 2.19"/1.88" stainless valves, new double springs match cam, Scorpion or Crane Roller Rockers, etc. This build is not quite done yet, but is nearly there and the customer who contracted it decided to go with a previously built engine of ours with more cubes. Can swap the cam for a hyd or mech roller or offer set of Merlin Grumpy Jenkins, or any Aluminum Cylinder heads you desire with good hardware in them. I also have a 489 cu. in. BBC stroker build behind this one, and a 505 cu. in. Marine Tall Deck stroker build in the hole behind that engine. I have a few jet boats (open bow jets w/BBC) available for sale (can build/customize to suit as well), a 1970 Beismeyer Caribbean V-Drive (gonna start the off-season restoration soon), a ton of boat parts, and other hardware as well. Let me know if you are interested in any of the engines/parts/boats available or if you have any cool ideas for your boat that you would like custom made via CNC equipment. Have a good one and thanks for taking the time to read what we have to offer!

    Thanks,

    Oscar

Default CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, TIG/MIG, Waterjet

    BUMP!

Thank you for the calls/interest in our services since the first post. We hope to hear from more who either have a boat they want to put the highest quality custom parts on, or maybe from those who have a small/med company that could use a competitive and fair price on Mechanical Engineering, Design, Fabrication/Prototyping or production of a current design. We can provide Qty 1-10,000+ as well as "design for producibility" evaluation and improvement to reduce the cost of parts by improving the geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to ensure the part is only as complicated as it must be, and therefore only as costly as it need be.

We also have rapid prototyping offerings (3-D Printing) to get you a piece of hardware in hand (tolerances as low as +/-.0005" on some) to evaluate a design you might be working to finalize it prior to cutting chips. Or maybe you can even use the Rapid Prototype (some companies use them in production and testing). This can be a huge help to development to get the design in your hand, often for less than $100-$200 for small items. In terms of size capability, you could even have an entire Jet Pump cross section constructed in a day or two if you wanted (or any scale desired as well).

Thanks for considering Campas Performance Engineering for your design and CNC fabrication/prototyping needs.

Default Custom Designed, CNC Machined Boat Parts and Engine Builds

Thanks again to everyone who has called/expressed interest in custom parts and Engine Builds. Its been nice to receive the kind of interest I was hoping for in the last couple weeks. I was looking to design/build some fun and unique parts that address a need and maybe find that others in the community have the same needs or desires. We are hoping to offer the ability for the owner to customize their boat during the off-season, or any other time I guess. Once we complete the initial solid modeling and CNC Programming for each part, we can make any additional quantity for other interested parties on the forum. In case there is some additional interest out there, below is list of a few of the items that have come up that others have expressed interested in thus far:

    • Custom Designed and CNC Milled Tunnel RAM or Tunnel Ram Top (initially the interest is for the top only, but potentially could look into a complete intake)

    • Custom Grab Handles. For those of you needing an old school design that you can't seem to find anywhere, or if you just want something completely different from anyone else.

    • Custom Designed and Milled/Waterjet Intake Scoop (could be the sides/top with a design, etc.) I think the idea here is to get a custom look with a stainless or Aluminum Scoop without going to fiberglass.

    • Custom Swim Steps/brackets in your desired finish. This can be ANYTHING you want in ANY color/finish you want (Anodizing, Powerdercoat, Paint, Soft Nylon, Polished, etc). Name of your boat, Make/Model, or other text or design can be CNC Milled or Waterjet Cut into/through the part.

    • Billet Stainless Steel CNCd Jet Pump Loader: Im not sure of the cost benefit on this (especially at low Qty), Im sure several people have seen good results with welded stainless piece, but if there is enough interest and it makes sense technically and financially then we can build them. It was a forum members idea and Ill take a couple I have on hand and evaluate them for improvement/producibility.

While these are some good ideas and I look forward to the builds, I dont yet know how many of them will go the whole way through to build at this point, but will update with pics if the customer desires. If you have any other needs for custom Mechanical Engineering/Design or CNC Machined Parts (CNC Mill, Lathe, Waterjet, etc.) then send me a PM or give me a call to discuss and Id be happy to help if I can. I also have a several BBC Engines with good brand name parts in them available as well.

Default CNC Time to fill and some BBCs to sell

I will have some more time to fill on the CNC Machines in the coming weeks and I'm willing to give forum members the best deal I can, which amounts to approx 50% discount (or more) off of a typical CNC machine shop rate. I'd rather be doing something fun in between projects than to have the machines sit idle. Let me know if you have anything you would like designed and/or produced (any QTY, have production level partners for higher quantities). I have enjoyed talking to/working with forum members thus far and hope to see even more interest in making some fun stuff in the coming winter months!

ALSO...I have some pretty slick (Hopefully other people feel the same way) parts I'm working on which should be ready for preliminary low rate production in the next several weeks/couple months and would like to conduct some of the preliminary sales/market trials & research with this crowd if possible. They are Engine, Jet/V-drive Boat, and General Auto related. Will give details when I am a little further along in the design and through the prototype testing phase.

I also have a few BBCs (and maybe 2 BBFs) worth of new parts to go together in case anyone is looking for a good deal on a new motor, as well as a couple used but good condition used setups that could be re-ringed (Forged pistons, steel crank). I have several oval port heads (open, semi, and closed chamber), couple Rect port head sets (088, 990), some brand new Merlin Grumpy Jenkins, and I think a set of older Aluminum (Edelbrock I think) that could go with any engine build, obviously these are in addition to the new cyl head options available to the prospective buyer.

    Thanks,

    Oscar
