Default like new lightning tube all stainless headers - reduced

Purchased 5/2013. Have less than 5 hours run time. I have gone a completely different direction. My loss ur gain! These were $5,060 new. A bargain at that price compared to cmi! They are lightning pn 540512 polished and 2 02 bung installed. They are in perfect shape. Check them out on lightning site for fitment. They are low port 33 inch wide. They were the only ones that fit under my engine cover. They are quality pieces. Now $2,500 shipped. That's half price!. Fyi, these were on a 502mpi. Jan from lightning and I will stand behind these as being as good as new. They fit perfect on my dcb 22.

Was there any performance improvement on the 502 MPI with the headers? Did you have to remap the ICU? Relative to the highest point on the 502 intake plenum casting, where is the highest point of the header tubes - below, even, or above the plenum casting? Thanks.

I added the headers with a prop change and nose cone. Went from a 30p to a 32p. Picked up 6mph. Can't tell you what the headers alone would do. It would also depend on the boat. I don't think headers alone will give you much, but a needed addition when you plan on doing other things. I had a small blower at the time I tried these. Good dimensions are on the lightning site, under stainless PN 540512. These were the most compact headers I could find. Even better than manifolds like imco and SM for fitment. That is one of the reasons I chose them. No I am going a different direction and need totally dry headers. Sad, cause I really liked these. No fuel changes or ecu remap were required for the headers. larry
