Selling my 454 motor. I purchased it a few years ago with the intention of putting it into my offshore boat but since decided to just replace the stock motor. The motor was built to be used in a jet boat but the guy who was built it passed away before he finished the boat. I purchased it from his sister who was selling off his stuff for his estate. I have a bunch of stuff that came with the motor with all the part numbers and cam set up and balancing info from the machine shop.
The block is beautiful, the block and heads have been completely de-burred and smoothed. The block has been painted epoxy black and the 188 square port heads are bare metal. The lifter valley has been screened to protect the bottom end.
I pulled the heads and cam when I got the motor planning to do a cam change for the offshore boat but never did swap cams. The heads were sent to my head guy in King City Ca. and were stripped, tanked, and magnafluxed and then flowed and ported and re flow tested. I have the final flow numbers. I just recently put the heads and cam back in/on he motor but did not torque the heads so it can come apart for inspection by the buyer.
I added up the parts only last night from summit and they came out to between 8 and 9k just for the parts not including the machine work or the cost of the block or heads!!!!!
