    Default Comments about SHIPPING

Just a quick note about this subject - I KNOW we all HATE IT, I know I do from a buying and selling standpoint. And this is not to point fingers or anything like that, I would just like to say (and I think I speak for all sellers around these parts) that SHIPPING COSTS are not determined by the sellers and we dont make money on shipping. USPS and UPS are the pirates of the shipping world, they dont deal on their rates. If you want it shipped YOU HAVE TO PAY THEM. Shipping first class is not always cheaper than Priority flat rate!.... I dont fully understand that.... but then Im not a Civil Servant.

In addition - theres alot that goes into shipping parts to buyers (just in case you dont realize it) Not only are people like me managing many ads in many different places... we are dealing with emails, texts, phone calls, private messages, then we wrap, package, box... oops Im out of TAPE!!!! F$%$%$%!!!! ---- then we get back online to have accounts setup for postage, buy postage, use our credit cards and bank accounts for paypal accounts to transfer money, then after all that we get to drive all over town to deliver the packages to the post office and UPS Store, buying packaging supplies, etc, etc - I think you get the picture.

So ya see its really a pain in the A$$ to ship stuff..... but if we want to sell stuff we do it..... So with the COST of shipping and all that is involved with getting your package to you it really is kind of lowballing a seller to ask them to pay the shipping when they are already giving you their best prices.

The other thing is that Paypal is a convenience and they charge a fee for that, its ONLY 4%..... but thats $400 on a $10,000 sale!!!! it all adds up.

    Thank You

I hope it helps when a buyer sends you a payment via PayPal as friends/family.

But I totally get your frustration. The worst is when they back out after you ran around...

I loose money because the time I invest in packaging. Getting a broken part does no one any good. Takes me a half hour to box up something small. If it's in a box 12"x12"x12" or larger, I can easily sink an hour in packaging it. Hard to break even on used parts.
One time I bought a used crank shaft. It showed up UPS with the snout sticking out the end of the box. It wasn't what the guy said it was so I sent it back. I built a wooden crate, packing foam and all. Cost twice as much as the cardboard box deal to ship. Then the guy Fxxked me on the return price.

    Oh Well, be safe. schick
