This is a BBC Gen 6 block machined .030" over by Pfaff. It's also been align honed and surfaced, with new cam bearings.
Crankshaft is a GM cast crank, freshly ground, with oil holes chamfered.
Connecting rods are 3/8" GM that have been resized with new ARP bolts. Pin end has been fitted for full floating rods, and has oiling holes added.
Pistons are new SRP small dome .230" tall.
New Total Seal Moly rings.
New Clevite main and rod bearings
New 1 pc rear main seal.
New Dooley 10 qt jet pan
New Melling M77HV oil pump, steel collar drive, and oil pump stud.
New SFI flexplate
Used Gen 5/6 damper
Mint used IMCO timing cover, just back from polisher
1pc oil pan gasket
Rotating assembly balanced
Camshaft custom ground to your boat and application
Billet timing gear set
Complete as listed, with block deburred and paint, all bearing clearances measured, crank thrust set, camshaft degreed, oil pump dis-assembled and checked prior to installation.
Get your pencil out and add this stuff all up. The pan is a jet pan, but should clear in most stern drive applications. The engine could be completed if desired.
Like to know 2 bolt or 4 bolt main? interested if 4 bolt, how much run time, compresson, hp. looking for a good motor to replace stock motor. Thanks please call if possible (951) 746-0781
All fresh with new parts. All Gen 5/6 blocks are 4 bolt main. Compression will depend on which heads, but just above or below 10-1 depending on chamber size.

Anybody need to get on the water quick, this one is machined and ready to assemble, could be ready as soon as I can order a cam to match your application.
Good time to get a fresh engine ready for the season. I will also sell this as a "kit" or complete engine.
I am going to go ahead and assemble this soon, with a set of Merlin iron heads that have a fresh valve job on them, probably a polished single carb intake. If someone wants a fresh engine for the season, I would like to paint and taylor the cam selection to work with the buyer's boat
Is the rotating assy internal or external balance?
Factory 454 crankshafts are all externally balanced. Most would consider it cost prohibitive to add enough heavy metal to internally balance one for an engine such as this one.

Looks like I will have some time to assemble this in the next week or so, been holding out on ordering a cam for it so that it could be ground to best work with the purchaser's combination.
Good medium performance package. Can add or remove parts as necessary for your application.
